In collaboration with anundpfirsich and ETH Zurich (Consumer Behavior), HF Partners will organise a training series on understanding and engaging audiences on New Breeding Techniques (NBTs) and Innovation in Agriculture. The course is part of the PLANTAR project, funded within NFP84 of the Swiss National Science Foundation. The course will feature three leaning modules (15 hours in total), which will feature expert input, group discussions, coaching, and hands-on practice. It teaches the following skills:
- Understand public acceptance: Take on your audience’s perspectives on NBTs, address strongly held beliefs and build trust
- Tell engaging stories: Communicate your research through storytelling and learn to use different communication formats
- Understand your status: Become aware of your status as communicator and make use of it with purpose
- Cultivate Resilience: Build your own toolset for a constructive and respectful dialogue and handle personal attacks professionally
